My mother and best friend, Anne Teachworth, passed from this world on February 3rd, 2012. She had been dealing with stomach cancer and was given 6 months to live. During that time, she completed her 2nd book, “History Repeats Itself”. An admired and accomplished Gestalt therapist, Anne Teachworth started The Gestalt Institute of New Orleans almost 40 years ago. Condolences of appreciation have been overwhelming as many psychology professionals around the world relate how my mother helped them personally and professionally. - Jeff
UPDATE: NOV 2011: My father, John Teachworth, passed on to Heaven this week. He had been hanging in there after a stroke, had gotten out of ICU and was in a rehabilitation hospital in Covington, when his heart stopped. He was a great father to his 6 sons, and is survived by many family members. - Jeff Teachworth

Father of Jeffrey, Thomas (Cindy), Michael (Jeanne), Daniel (Debbie), Douglas (Donna) and William Teachworth. Step-father of Christian Hahn, Jr. (Susan) and Brett Hahn (Kathy). Brother of Joel H., Lance L., Roger M. Teachworth and the late Janice R. Galle. Also survived by 19 grandchildren and one great-grandson. Age 76 years. Janice Teachworth Galle, one the great spirits on this earth, passed into Heaven on New Year’s Day 2009 after a long and courageous struggle. Janice is the daughter of Dorothy and Gaylord Teachworth. She is the wife of Frank Galle and mother of Bob, Lisa and Michael. Sister to John, Joel, Lance, and Roger. Grandmother and great-aunt to many who love her deeply. By the way, although my Aunt Jan moved back to Minnesota many years ago, it’s a known fact that New Orleans has never surrendered her as a resident here. - Jeff
